This building has been inaugurated in 2007, here we can find the prehistoric collection and the geologic collection.

• PRAEMÉRITA (Prehistoric Collection of Merida)
It is one of the most important prehistoric collection in Extremadura as it is the reflection of the importance the land of Mérida had from Paeotitic age until the arrival of Roman civilizations that is due to the productivity of Vegas del Guadiana´s Lands.

• GEOEMÉRITA (Geological Collection of Extremadura)
The Geological Collection of Extremadura has its origin in the minerals, fossils and rocks that were given by Vicent Sos Baynat. The showing was located in nearby of his laboratory, and then was transferred to the City Hall and then moved to Cultural Center of the City, and after there, it was moved to The Open Museum Of Mérida, where we can find it actually.
