The topography of Mérida is quite level. That is something that has given rise to numerous pedestrian streets as well as large parks and gardens that make the city easy to travel on foot while enjoying your leisurely stroll. While the center is not overly large, the rest of the city occupies a vast area; therefore, Mérida has a very complete public transport system.

Some streets in the center of the city have metered parking with a maximum parking time of 3 hours (blue parking zone) and one hour (green parking zone).
