Visigoth Collection

The Visigoth collection is located in the old Santa Clara Church, barroque building from the XVII century. In this building there had been the Roman collection and the Visigoth collection together but the Roman one was translated to the National Roman Museum.

The Visigoth collection, the best sculptural collection in the Iberian Peninsula was created in the XVI century from private collections.

This collection consists of several groups:

-Rest of Architectural remains from temples, pilaster, frames, capitals.
-Liturgical furniture such as altars.
-Niches or alcoves.

Besides, there are several different liturgical objects. In the glass cabinet there are remains of daily life tools and funerary elements in the Visigoth way of living.
